General Questions

We partner with retailers and donors to cover balances for families in need, ensuring they receive essential items through layaway, shopping programs, or gift cards during our Back to School and Holiday initiatives. Our goal is to ease financial burdens and bring smiles to families.

We work with retail and community partners to select families that are in need of children’s essentials, such as clothing, shoes, school supplies, and holiday gifts. Families are chosen anonymously based on these criteria.

Donations & Giving

You can donate online through our website by making a one-time or recurring gift. We also accept corporate sponsorships and employer-matching gifts.

Checks can be made payable to Pay Away The Layaway and sent to c/o Edward Charles Foundation, 269 S Beverly Drive, Ste 338, Beverly Hills, CA 90212.

Yes! Pay Away The Layaway, Inc  is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, and all donations are tax-deductible to the fullest extent allowed by law.

No, donations go into a general fund that is used to pay off as many balances as possible throughout the year. This ensures fairness and efficiency in helping families. Should we also expand this beyond

At this time, we focus on paying off balances rather than accepting physical donations. However, we encourage you to support families in need through other charitable organizations that accept goods.


Getting Involved

We welcome partnerships with businesses that want to make an impact. Companies can sponsor payoffs, host volunteer days, match employee donations, or support us through corporate giving programs. Contact us to discuss partnership opportunities.

Yes! We offer seasonal, in-person volunteer opportunities at national retail events. You can also help spread awareness, host fundraisers, or talk to your employer about their community engagement programs to support our mission.

Absolutely! You can set up a personal fundraising page and encourage your friends, family, or colleagues to donate. Reach out to us for details on hosting your own fundraiser.

Payoffs & Retail Partners

We work with national and regional retailers that offer layaway programs, as well as retail partners that provide shopping sprees and gift card giveaways.

We do not accept applications. Eligible families are chosen anonymously by retailers or through local community partners, ensuring that donations go toward essential items for children and families.
